The founder of Judaism was Abraham in 1900 B.C.

Religious leaders and place of worship

The leaders are Rabbis who control the place of worship which is a Synagogue.
The members of each Synagogue usually take care of themselves.

Judaism then and now

Judaism began in the Mesopotamian town of Harran. Now Judaism has spread
all across the world.

Main beliefs of Judaism and God(s)

They believe in 1 God who they believe is...
Omnipotent- all powerful
Omniscient- all knowing
Omnipresent- in all places at all times
They also follow the 10 commandments which they beleive were given
to Moses from God as the rules of God.

Sacred writings and practices

They read the sacred writings of the Torah and the 5 books of
Moses which teach them how to act, think, and feel about life after
death. They pray and eat kosher foods.

Religious festivals

The Jewish celebrate Passover in Spring. Passover celebrates when God removed
the Jewish people from Egypt.

Symbols of Judaism

The 6 pointed star, also called the star of David, is modeled after the shield the
young Israelite warrior David used. He later became King David.
